[1] iMacros for Mozilla Firefox BETA released
The beta version of the iMacros add-on for Firefox has now been released.
This version is compatible with iMacros for Internet Explorer and macros recorded in one will run in the other. There are some features and commands not yet supported in the Firefox version, but the development team are working hard to get those incorporated as soon as possible.
For more on the Firefox version please visit our website:
http://www.iopus.com/imacros/firefox/
We also now have a dedicated user forum for the Firefox version. Enabling you to provide feedback to the development team on issues encountered, as well as ask any questions you may have.

[2] New Demonstrations
The support team are producing more demonstrations to show how common and not so common tasks are achieved with iMacros.
Feedback from customers is that many people prefer to see how to do things rather than read an instruction manual or follow the pre-installed examples. So we are generating a new suite of demonstrations and tutorials. Over the coming weeks you will see more of these appearing on our support site. They are currently accessible via the How-To user Forum.
Your feedback on these is very welcome.

[3] An iMacros Christmas Story
Our thanks to Takashi Yamaki of TechnoBlest for providing this seasonal story.
Mr Yamaki wanted to get the new Playstation 3 for his daughter. But as we have seen in the news of late, it has sold out almost everywhere (everywhere where it has been released that is, in Europe we will have to wait until next year!)
They had been making more machines available every Friday on Amazon Japan, at unspecified times. These were selling out within one minute of being available, so Mr Yamaki used iMacros to write a macro that would check the Amazon website every minute throughout the day on Friday and try to buy a Playstation 3. In this way he was finally able to make the purchase and give his daughter a dream Christmas present.
Mr Yamaki does point out that you will need to remember to only have the macro run if a previous purchase attempt has not been successful, or you may end up with more than one Playstation3!
