Some users asks us how iPig does compare to the new Google Secure Access Wifi VPN software. Here is what we know:
- Google Secure Access Beta is a standard VPN. It seems the Google software itself is only intended to set up the VPN.
- The idea behind Google Secure Access is not new. Other companies offers this service for years (but not free). iPig approach is based on a driver that catches all your traffic - or only parts thereof. You decide.
- Acording to their privacy policy, Google Secure Access insists of recording the websites you visit! iPig does not.
- Google Secure Access does not allow you to set up your own server. iPig allows this.
- Tunc tua res agitur, paries cum proximus ardet is Latin and
means
It is your concern, when your neighbour’s wall is on fire
Do you want to set up your own secure Internet endpoint? Instead of having the Pig client send all data to our secure connection servers, you can set up your own secure connection servers. Just like the iPig client, the iPig Server is extremly easy to install. All you need is a PC or Server with a permanet Internet connection.
